This is really simple. Ladyparrothead/Lynn (photo on left) needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. That takes a donor match. And she doesn't have a match yet.
Will you please consider joining the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry? If you're not a match for Lynn, you may be a match for someone else in need of the gift of life. All it takes to join the registry is a cheek swab. If you are identified as a possible match, the program will draw a vial of blood for further tests. If you're identified as a match and a donor, marrow will be drawn from your pelvis under anesthesia. The marrow will replace itself in a few weeks, much like with a blood donation.

Parrotheads are some of the most giving people I know. If we can molibilize 600+ people for a tailgate, how many can we get registered for bone marrow?? Lynn is literally counting on others... On US.... There's nothing she can do to bring in a donor except wait.... Lynn has started chemo, and is expected to be hospitalized for at least a month. Let's see if we can find a donor before that month is out.
Whaddya say friends?? Let's do it!!!!!!!
The fine print: there is of course a small catch. The registry asks for a tax deductible donation of $52 to cover tissue typing costs. Yes, for some people, that's a lot of money. But frankly, for most of us here, it's about the price of a lawn seat, once you tack on the convenience charges. Please consider it.

...and I need it again. Just found out that I "probably" have some type of leukemia and need to get transfused tomorrow. It is all happening very quickly and I can use all the good thoughts, prayers and phin power that you guys have. It has worked before and I know that it will work again! Thanks in advance.
